About Fiona Krautil

Fiona is Founder and Principal of Diversity Knowhow with a proven track record in delivering gender equity, diversity & inclusion (D&I) strategy, and unconscious bias and inclusive leadership training that unleashes diverse staff and team potential to increase organisation performance.

She is one of Australia's leading Gender Equity, Diversity and Inclusion specialists and practitioners. Helping employers increase diversity and inclusion to build diversity and organisation capability is her passion and her calling. After an early career as a scientist, she draws on her extensive leadership, change, and practical strategy and implementation experience, providing strategic advice, education, and consultancy assistance to increase staff engagement, innovation and profit.  

Over the past 25 years Fiona has developed and delivered robust workplace assessments, strategies, implementation plans, and creative learning solutions including Diversity, Inclusion, Unconscious Bias. She is a specialist inspirational and practical Inclusive Leadership, and Workplace Respect training facilitator, expanding thinking and shifting mindsets systems and culture in private sector, government, academia and not for profit organisations. 

Fiona's gender equity, diversity, inclusion, leadership and cultural transformation experience and positive results in assisting forward thinking employers ensures she is well placed to understand client requirements across organisations of all sizes.

Fiona is a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) Inclusion and Diversity Advisory Reference Panel and a 2017 AHRI National HR Awards judge. Previously the Director of the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (1999-2004) now WGEA, she founded the 'Australian Women in Leadership Census'.  Fiona's latest book "Diversity Unplugged - how leading CEOs champion workplace inclusion" was launched in late 2014 by AHRI.

As an internal gender equity, diversity and inclusion senior leader and specialist Fiona partnered with leaders and staff at the University of Sydney, ANZ Banking Corporation, Esso Australia, Westpac Banking Corporation and the Victorian Department of Agriculture to develop and implement award winning gender equity, diversity and inclusion strategies, training, and initiatives that engaged and mobilised leaders and staff, shifted mindsets, workplace culture, and delivered new customer solutions.
